Stanbic Uganda Board Director Mona Ssebuliba Honoured at National Labour Day Celebrations
Stanbic Uganda Holdings Limited (SUHL) Board Director Mona Muguma Ssebuliba has been awarded the prestigious National Independence Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Uganda’s agribusiness sector and national development.
The honour was conferred during this year’s national Labour Day celebrations, placing her among a distinguished group of individuals recognised for advancing Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.
In her remarks following the award, Ssebuliba described the recognition as a shared achievement, reflecting the strength of partnerships and collective effort in transforming Uganda’s agricultural landscape.
“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition. It reflects the collective effort behind aBi Finance and the commitment of our shareholders, partners, financial institutions, and the entire team working to drive impact across Uganda’s agribusiness sector,” she said. “We remain committed to building a more sustainable and inclusive future for agriculture in Uganda.”
Ssebuliba has been instrumental in strengthening agribusiness financing and enabling inclusive growth across agricultural value chains—impact that continues to resonate strongly with national development priorities.
SUHL Chief Executive Francis Karuhanga emphasised both the significance of her contribution and its alignment with the institution’s purpose of driving Uganda’s growth.
